Public Service and Professional Recognition
Service has been a consistent theme in Dale Nowicki's career, from the U.S. Army and law enforcement to legal practice. His public-service work includes pro bono legal assistance and civil-service hearing experience. As General Counsel for a national company, he has been presented with the Lawyers of Distinction award for recognition of “Excellence in the Practice of Law.”
Pro bono legal service
Dale has been recognized multiple times in California and by the Supreme Court of Tennessee for his pro bono legal work and is honored as an Attorney for Justice. That service reflects a commitment to making legal assistance available to people who might otherwise have difficulty obtaining it.
Professional service is not measured only by the size of a business or the complexity of an agreement. It also includes the willingness to listen carefully, explain a process, and help a person understand the decisions facing them.
Civil-service hearings
Dale has served as a hearing officer for the Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission. This work involves careful attention to the evidentiary record, applicable standards, and fair process.
His administrative-hearing experience complements his business-counsel background by reinforcing the importance of clear documentation, consistent procedures, and reasoned decisions.
Continuing a tradition of service
Dale's professional path has brought him into different institutions and communities. The common thread is a practical commitment to helping others navigate difficult situations with preparation and sound judgment.
Additional recognition records and supporting documents will be added as they are available for public release..
