Dale Nowicki

 

Dale Nowicki is the founder of the Law Offices of Dale Nowicki, A.P.C. He practices law throughout California. His practice focuses on Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and Wills & Trusts. He has successfully litigated wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, civil rights violations, wrongful termination, and demotion cases involving allegations of excessive force, dishonesty, sexual harassment, misuse of property, and criminal matters.

Dale handles felony and misdemeanor criminal matters ranging from narcotics cases, assault cases, DUI’s, homicide cases as well as complex fraud matters. He represents musicians, doctors, lawyers, athletes, artists and entertainment executives. As a DUI and criminal defense attorney, Dale endeavors to protect his clients from criminal prosecution beginning from the moment of arrest and throughout the process.

The Wills & Estates portion of his practice is designed to enable clients to manage and protect family assets and achieve other estate planning goals. 

Besides practicing in state courts since 2009, Dale is admitted to all federal district courts in California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dale has appeared on matters throughout the state of California, in state, federal, and administrative courts. Dale is also admitted in the state of Tennessee and Washington, D.C.  He serves as an administrative hearing officer for major municipalities in and around southern California. This experience enables him to bring to his work as an advocate, and the perspective of a hearing officer on matters involving his practice areas. Serving in this position allows Dale the insight and experience needed to understand complex issues.

After serving 8 years in the U.S. Army as an officer in a special operations unit, Dale became a law enforcement officer for a large agency in southern California. Toward the end of a 20-year career, Dale went to law school. While in law school he interned with the Orange County District Attorney’s office in the homicide unit for nearly two years. Due to his past experience, Dale researched and drafted many of the OCDA’s officer-involved shooting opinions with an eye on constitutional rights, proper uses of force and civil rights. This background serves him well in his law practice. His skills ensure that all scenarios are considered and avenues explored.

Dale has worked as production counsel for film and TV companies handling both above the line and below the line contracts, negotiations, clearances, and labor issues. Dale has also taught as an adjunct college professor. He taught courses in the Administration of Justice program covering Criminal Law and Procedure, and Constitutional Law. 

Besides his law degree, Dale also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and military officer studies from the University of Toledo.
